Patrick Giesa

Northville City Council Member

HELLO! I’m Patrick Giesa and I’m running for my second term on the Northville City Council.

My past community involvement includes serving as Northville Rotary Club President (2015-2016), Northville Rotary Board of Directors (2017-2021) and three years mentoring in Northville’s Youth Assistance program. I also served on Northville’s Non- Motorized Advisory Committee. In 2014, I founded Northville Rotary's Tour de Ville Benefit Bike Race. Over the past seven years, we’ve raised over $120,000 for local, regional and international Rotary projects such as the Rotary International Foundation, Kids Against Hunger, local scholarships, student exchange programs, Little Free Libraries, Shelter Box, Life Remodeled and local food banks.

I am proud to serve on:
- Liquor License Review Board
- Board of Zoning Appeals
- Board Commissions Selection Committee
- Brownfield Authority
- Northville Senior Advisory Council
- Ford Field Task Force
- Sustainabilty Team

My daughter (Elli), her husband and their three children live in Howell, Michigan. My son (John) and his two children also live in Howell.

I’m an avid bicyclist. I also enjoy hiking, x-country skiing, snowshoeing, woodworking, anything to do with computers, electronics, photography, photographic drones, reading, cooking and motorcycling.

I am proud of the way I’ve worked as a team with council, the mayor, the city manager, the city departments and all the committees. After 3.5 years, I’ve learned so much about municipal governance and I feel I’m contributing 100%. I’d like to continue representing you as we navigate the next four challenging years.
